This Tender Leaf collection consists of individual wooden animals. A lion, deer or turtle can begin a landscape or story. Figures can be grouped by habitat, placed alongside blocks or added to a homemade farm. There is no fixed sequence of play.

Rubberwood and painted shapes

The animals are made from rubberwood and finished with water-based paint or stain. Rubberwood comes from the hevea tree; the figures are not made from flexible rubber. Shape and painting make each animal recognisable, while its thickness gives it a three-dimensional form.

Animals from different habitats

• Wild animals. The wooden lion joins animals such as elephants and giraffes to create a savannah scene.
• Forest and farm. The wooden deer and farm animals suggest other settings.

Play and care
