Tender Leaf Wooden Animal Crocodile

The crocodile lies flat instead of standing: a long snout, short legs set out to the side and a tail continuing the line of the back. Ridges are painted along the spine and a row of teeth runs beside the jaw. It slides under a shelf or behind a cushion, which is exactly where children leave it waiting.

Tender Leaf works with reclaimed rubberwood: hevea trees that stop yielding latex after around 25 years and used to be burned. For every tree it uses, the brand says it plants a new one. The colours come from non-toxic, water-based paint and stain.
