Tender Leaf Wooden Animal Alpaca

The alpaca carries its head high on a long, straight neck, looking out over the sheep and the pigs. The tuft between the ears and the woolly body are shaped into the wood, while the legs stay thin and straight. That is why it usually ends up as the lookout, or as the animal that does not quite belong to the farm.

Tender Leaf works with reclaimed rubberwood: hevea trees that stop yielding latex after around 25 years and used to be burned. For every tree it uses, the brand says it plants a new one. The colours come from non-toxic, water-based paint and stain.
