Tender Leaf Wooden Animal Elephant

The elephant rests on four solid legs, ears folded against the head and the trunk curving down in front. Fine lines pick out the folds in the skin along the flanks. It stays where it is put, even when another animal gets pushed against it, which makes it a dependable centre for a whole row of them.

Tender Leaf works with reclaimed rubberwood: hevea trees that stop yielding latex after around 25 years and used to be burned. For every tree it uses, the brand says it plants a new one. The colours come from non-toxic, water-based paint and stain.
