Tender Leaf Wooden Seagull Animal

The seagull stands on two thin legs with its wings folded against its body and its head pushed slightly forward. It is painted white with grey wings, a yellow beak and a dark mark at the eye. It is the one animal in this group that does not belong in the water, so it usually claims the high spot on the play table — the rim of the box, a block, the whale's back.

Tender Leaf works with reclaimed rubberwood: hevea trees that stop yielding latex after around 25 years and used to be burned. For every tree it uses, the brand says it plants a new one. The colours come from non-toxic, water-based paint and stain.
