Tender Leaf Wooden Animal Crab

Crabs move sideways, and the figure shows it: a broad, flat body with two raised claws and legs angled outward. It is painted orange-red, with two eyes set on top of the shell. Children push it across the table sideways rather than forward, which is exactly how it should go.

Tender Leaf works with reclaimed rubberwood: hevea trees that stop yielding latex after around 25 years and used to be burned. For every tree it uses, the brand says it plants a new one. The colours come from non-toxic, water-based paint and stain.
