Tender Leaf Wooden Animal Chicks

The chicks are the smallest pieces on the farm: painted yellow, with an orange beak and a head tipped slightly upward. Being the smallest, they are also the first to disappear under the sofa. In play they usually follow the rooster in a line that is never quite straight.

Tender Leaf works with reclaimed rubberwood: hevea trees that stop yielding latex after around 25 years and used to be burned. For every tree it uses, the brand says it plants a new one. The colours come from non-toxic, water-based paint and stain.
