Tender Leaf Wooden Animal Velociraptor

The velociraptor is the fast one: a slim body, head pushed forward, tail held straight out behind and one leg set ahead of the other, as if it had been stopped mid-sprint. That pose makes it stand differently from the rest of the set, always half in motion. In play it tends to become the one chasing the smaller animals.

Tender Leaf works with reclaimed rubberwood: hevea trees that stop yielding latex after around 25 years and used to be burned. For every tree it uses, the brand says it plants a new one. The colours come from non-toxic, water-based paint and stain.
