Expressing without tubes running to a machine on the table, without withdrawing somewhere. That is what Elvie is built for: pumps that fit inside your bra, work quietly and track how much you have expressed through an app. You can hang the washing, sit at your laptop or dress your other child while it runs.

Elvie is a British brand making technology for women's bodies after birth. You will find two areas here: the wearable breast pumps with everything that goes with them, and the pelvic floor trainer: a device that uses Bluetooth and an app to show what your pelvic floor muscles are doing, muscles you simply cannot see.
What sets the pumps apart is not suction but shape. There is no machine on a tube on the table; it sits in or right beside your bra. That mostly changes when you can express, and for many women that is the difference between carrying on and stopping.
There are three lines, and the difference is in the shape and the price.
Single or double? A single pump is cheaper and enough if you express now and then. Double halves your time because you do both breasts at once. If you express daily because you work or are building a supply, double pays for itself in time.
This is the most underrated question on this page. The wrong size is a common reason expressing hurts, that the yield disappoints, or that your breast does not empty. The size follows your nipple, not your breast.
For the Stride there are breast shields in 21 mm, 24 mm and 28 mm; the Pump has its own. They are BPA-free and dishwasher safe.
Signs the size is wrong: it hurts, a lot of areola is drawn in, or your breast still feels full after expressing. Your size can change during the breastfeeding period, what fitted in week two need not fit in month four. A lactation consultant will size you up in one go.
A pump lasts for years, the parts do not. Diaphragms and valves wear out through use and cleaning, and a worn part costs you suction straight away.
The advice we give most often: buy the wear parts twice over. The moment a diaphragm tears you do not want to be without a pump for two days, and that is exactly when it happens.
Have a look at all breast pumps, breastfeeding accessories and breast milk storage bags as well.
The information on this page is general and does not replace advice from your midwife, lactation consultant or doctor.
With the Pump everything sits in the cup inside your bra, completely cordless. With the Stride only the cups sit in your bra, with a tube to a small unit you wear at your waist. The Stride cups are flatter and less visible, and the price is lower.
No. Pump and Stride each have their own parts, and even within the Stride not everything is interchangeable: the Stride 2 Connect Kit is for the Stride 2 only. Check which model a part is meant for when you order.
The size follows your nipple, not your breast. The Stride comes in 21, 24 and 28 mm. If it hurts, if a lot of areola is drawn in, or if your breast stays full, the size is probably wrong. Have it measured by a lactation consultant.
Yes. Many women need a different size in the first weeks than later on. If it starts to hurt after a while or the yield drops, look at the size again.
It is mainly faster, because you do both breasts at once. If you only express now and then, single is perfectly fine and cheaper.
No. The Curve is a soft silicone pouch you tuck into your bra: you squeeze it and let go, and that creates suction. The one-way valve lets you set the pressure. It holds up to 120 ml. It is mainly meant for the milk that lets down on the other side while you feed.
Diaphragms and valves are wear parts. If you notice the pump losing suction, it is time to replace them. Follow Elvie's recommendation and preferably keep a spare set at home.
It makes visible what your pelvic floor muscles are doing: you connect it over Bluetooth to the app and see on your screen whether you are engaging them correctly. Elvie reports noticeable improvement within four weeks with five minutes of exercise three times a week. Discuss its use with your midwife or pelvic floor physiotherapist, especially soon after birth.

Super fijne kolf.
