The Gorgels

What if you see something no one else sees? In The Gorgels , the first children's book by comedian Jochem Myjer , you and the main character, Melle, discover a world full of mysterious creatures that can be in your room at night. Furry, small, and lightning-fast... but are they real?

When Melle wakes up in the middle of the night, he finds a strange ball of wool sitting on the edge of his bed. He's certain he's seen it, but no one believes him—not even his father, a biologist. Still, Melle refuses to be deterred. He investigates and discovers there's more to it than anyone could have imagined…

A thrilling, humorous, and heartwarming story about the battle between Gorgels and Brutelaars , friendship, bravery, and a child who believes in what no one else sees. Awarded the Dutch Children's Jury Prize (2016).
