Stapelstein® Original – Loose Stone

The Stapelstein® Original is designed to be one of the most versatile play and exercise materials for children. A single brick seems simple, but its simplicity is precisely what makes it so powerful. Children can build, balance, learn, sit, jump, sort, and roll with it, and every activity stimulates both creativity and motor development. The round shape feels safe and friendly, encouraging children to discover what they can create with it.

The individual brick is ideal for creating a completely new set, but also a valuable addition to an existing collection. Because the brick is lightweight yet surprisingly strong, children can effortlessly move, stack, and integrate it into imaginative play scenarios like courses, huts, color games, or movement exercises. Whether at home, in daycare centers, schools, or therapy rooms, the Stapelstein is valued as a durable, challenging, and reliable material that provides years of enjoyment.

What makes the Stapelstein® Original unique is that it's a single product that adapts to the child's needs: it becomes a chair, a building block, a balance board, a treasure chest, a step, a play table, or part of a large structure. Children determine the function themselves, so the game always evolves entirely from their own imagination.

• Material: The Stapelstein® Original is made of durable EPP, a lightweight and durable material that absorbs shocks and withstands intensive daily use. The material is fully recyclable, odorless, and safe for children aged one and up.
• Dimensions and weight: Each stone has a diameter of 27.5 centimeters and a height of 12 centimeters. Despite its remarkably low weight of approximately 180 grams, the stone can be easily carried and moved by children.
• Load capacity: The stone can hold up to 180 kilograms. This makes it suitable not only for young children, but also for older children and even adults who want to use it for balance or sitting activities.
• Safety: The Stapelstein has no sharp edges and is gently rounded, allowing children to move freely without risk of injury. The material is waterproof, saliva-resistant, and UV-resistant, and meets all European toy safety standards.
• Use and functionality: The freestanding Stapelstein is suitable for motor skills training, sensory play, building, sitting, color and shape activities, balance challenges, and role-playing. The brick can be freely combined with other Stapelstein products, creating a flexible play system that grows with the child.
• Maintenance: Cleaning is easy with a damp cloth. The stone doesn't absorb water and dries quickly, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
