Holztiger Hippopotamus

The hippo prefers to lie in the water with only his eyes above it. Children let him dive under and reappear — the most sociable colossus of the river.

Holztiger figures are carved and painted by hand in Europe, from maple and beech wood with non-toxic water-based paint. They are larger than average, so they sit firmly in a small hand — and no two pieces are exactly alike.
